A mother decided to find out about her son’s love life.

One way or another...


A man, let’s say Pete, had invited his mother to have dinner with him and his roommate, Lindsey. His mother agreed and Pete could tell right away that she suspected something between him and Lindsey. He reassured his mother that there was nothing between them. His mother then excused herself to go to the bathroom. A few days later, Lindsey was making soup but couldn’t find the ladle for the second time in the past few days, and she began to suspect Pete’s mother. She got Pete to call and ask her, and Pete agreed.

When Pete asked where the ladle was, his mother replied, “If Lindsey had been sleeping in her own bed, she would have found it by now.”
