They all have been friends and playing music together for well over 20 years. Spencer and Kevin are the founding members of the group, with Kevin coming up with the band’s name. Kevin works the art department for the band with his own original drawings and photos. He also writes the majority of the lyrics for their original songs.

“We’re inspired by all things heavy and incorporate all of it. We try to make it catchy and fun. Straight up metal, death metal, groove, hardcore, black metal, sludge, punk. Big fans of Misfits, GWAR, poison idea, Ramones, Eyehategod, Faith no more, etc…”

All the members of The Necrophiliac Yacht Club are from Lambertville, NJ.

Kevin fills in a in a little more by telling us,

“We’ve always done our own thing even when we were coming up playing in the deathcore scene back in like 2006. Back then with our old bassist, we opened for bands like Misery Index, Rose Funeral, the Murder Junkies, Murphy’s Law. All over the boards. We stopped playing around 2009ish, took a long time off to have drug addictions and families, and started up again a few years ago, with Jesse and I then Spencer came back into the mix and it felt like home. So far we’ve had a couple awesome shows opening for Eyehategod, No/Mas and All Hell. We start recording in a month or so and are excited to slaughter.”
